Vineyard and terroir

Nebbiolo is sourced from vineyards in the four municipalities of the Barbaresco growing district.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested manually with selective picking, then crushed and destemmed. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature. The wine macerates on the skins with daily pumping of the must over the cap.

Ageing

The wine is aged for 26 months, including 9 months in Slavonian oak casks, and subsequently matures in bottle.

Tasting profile

An elegant and structured expression of Nebbiolo, with ethereal and balsamic sensations, excellent structure and a long finish. With extended maturation it develops further ethereal and balsamic complexity over silky, rounded tannins.

Serving and pairing

Pair with pheasant, pigeon, roast turkey, veal shank or mature cheeses. It is described as reaching its peak 5–10 years after harvest, while remaining capable of further development; the stated cellar life is 10 years.
