Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from the 11 villages in the Barolo wine-growing area.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested and selected by hand, then crushed and destemmed. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine macerates on the skins, with the must pumped over the cap daily.

Ageing

The Riserva matures for 62 months before release—two years longer than a standard Barolo—including at least 18 months in Slavonian oak casks and subsequent bottle ageing. The extended maturation is intended to develop complexity, balance and elegance.

Tasting profile

An elegant, structured Barolo with a lingering bouquet of spices and liquorice. The palate is full and sumptuous, with abundant yet velvety tannins and a persistent finish.

Serving and pairing

Pair with hare, wild boar, braised beef, roasted or grilled meat, and strong cheeses. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
