Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from vines no more than 15 years old, planted in the sandy clay soils of Mezzane di Sotto.

Grapes

The wine is made from a blend of four grape varieties; the fourth variety is not identified in the description.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place in metal tanks for ten days, followed by malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The wine ages in steel tanks for six months.

Vintage notes

In 2013, yields were low across Europe except in Veneto. Rain beginning in early spring delayed fruit set and reduced berry numbers, while a cool summer slowed ripening. A dry autumn nevertheless made the vintage highly successful for winemaking in Veneto.
