Label / history

The Fratelli Levis range takes its name from brothers Antonio and Raimondo Levis, who founded their company in 1938. Their passion for Nebbiolo led them to the Langhe, where they pursued a philosophy of “quality at any cost.” Both brothers were born with hearing impairments, and those around them associated their persistent pursuit of perfection with using winemaking as a creative outlet.

After Raimondo’s death in 2002, Antonio entered into partnership with the family-owned Sartirano company. Sartirano now owns the Fratelli Levis brand. The small Corte Lombardina winery is part of Sartirano Figli Cantine e Vigneti.
