1871 to World War II
The Sartirano family has been in the wine business since 1871. Its activities were paused during World War II.
1946 onwards
Giovanni Sartirano revived the family business in 1946 and was soon joined by his heirs.
Today
The business is owned by third-generation cousins Paolo and Guido. The family owns vineyards and wineries in Langhe, Barolo, Novello, Monforte d'Alba and Barbaresco. A new 5000-square-metre winery is due to be completed soon, with a storage facility holding 12000 hectolitres located 10 kilometres away. Sartirano Figli Cantine e Vigneti produces 1.2 million bottles a year.
Terroir
The family is based in Piedmont. It holds vineyards and wineries in Langhe, Barolo, Novello, Monforte d'Alba and Barbaresco, areas home to Piedmont's best-known wines.
