Label / history
The Fratelli Levis range takes its name from brothers Antonio and Raimondo Levis, who founded their company in 1938. Their interest in Nebbiolo brought them to the Langhe area. Both brothers had a congenital hearing impairment, and people close to them associated their dedication to winemaking with an effort to express their creativity.
After Raimondo died in 2002, Antonio formed a partnership with the family-owned Sartirano company. Sartirano now owns the Fratelli Levis brand. The small Corte Lombardina winery forms part of Sartirano Figli Cantine e Vigneti.
