Foundation, mid-1950s

Gino Scarbolo founded the family winery in the mid-1950s, when he bought a small plot of land in Luscacco. He developed the business year by year.

1982: handover to Valter

In 1982 Gino handed the business over to his son Valter, a qualified oenologist inspired by the French school of winemaking.

Today

Valter works alongside his wife and children, who have brought fresh energy and creativity to the family business as it begins a new chapter.

The winery is in Luscacco, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region in the northeast of Italy.

Valter Scarbolo is a qualified oenologist and draws inspiration from the French school of winemaking.

The family sees each day as bringing new opportunities and challenges that they must understand and respond to in the best possible way to keep the wheels turning. For them, the wheel represents the cycle of life: full of change and challenges, it always offers another path, a second chance to improve and learn for tomorrow. The wheel is therefore the symbol of the Scarbolo winemaking family.
