Grapes
Moscato d’Asti DOCG constitutes 20% of the finished blend, in keeping with the traditional Piedmontese recipe.
Vinification
Sugar, alcohol and wine are blended with an extract of 40 herbs. Chamomile, gentian and sweet orange are especially prominent in the Bianco recipe. Both the complete botanical composition and the infusion process belong to Scarpa’s secret formula.
Most of the herbs and spices come from the countryside around Pancalieri in Piedmont. Situated outside Turin along the Po River, the area is known for cultivating medicinal and aromatic plants.
