Questo vino
Ingredients and production
A red vermouth combining sugar, alcohol, wine and an extract of 40 herbs. Moscato d'Asti DOCG accounts for 20% of the finished blend, following a traditional Piedmontese recipe. Rhubarb, angostura and bitter orange are especially prominent. The complete botanical composition and infusion process remain part of Scarpa’s secret recipe, held since the 1940s.
Most of the herbs and spices come from Pancalieri, a Piedmontese town near Turin on the River Po, known for cultivating medicinal and aromatic plants.
