Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from hillside vineyards on clay and marl soils of Eocene origin. The vines are trained using Guyot and spur-pruned cordon systems, with a stated yield of 60 q/ha.

Grapes

A blend of Friulano, Sauvignon, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Grigio, conceived to express the viticultural diversity of its area of origin in a single wine.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested manually between the second ten days of August and the first ten days of September. They undergo gentle pressing followed by settling without sulfur dioxide. Fermentation lasts 10–12 days in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 °C.

Ageing

The wine remains on its lees in stainless-steel tanks for 8 months, followed by at least 3 months of bottle maturation.

Technical data

IGT Bianco Venezia Giulia. Alcohol: 12.50% vol. Total acidity: 5.2 g/L. Residual sugar: 2.1 g/L.

Tasting profile

Pale yellow with green highlights. The nose combines intense yellow-fruit aromas with floral nuances, giving an elegant and refined profile. The palate is soft yet distinctive, closely echoing the aromas. The finish is long and lightly mineral.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 13 °C. Suitable as an aperitif and with shellfish or first-course pasta dishes. With bottle age, it offers an interesting contrast to creamy mushroom preparations.

Label / history

Blanc des Rosis is a historic Schiopetto blend first produced in 1986. It was created to bring the richness and diversity of the local wine-growing area together in one wine.
