Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from a family-run récoltant-manipulant in Côte des Bar, the southernmost part of the Champagne appellation in Aube. The producer, established in 1876, grows grapes exclusively in its own vineyards and vinifies them in its own cellars.
Côte des Bar lies around 50 km from Chablis. Its vineyards occupy hillsides and narrow valleys, with slopes reaching 15% and forested hilltops. Kimmeridgian soils resemble those of Chablis, while the limestone-and-marl subsoil dates to the Jurassic period, around 146–151 million years ago. The temperate oceanic and semi-continental climate brings limited sunlight, and the chalky subsoil moderates temperature and protects the vine roots.
Grapes
85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay, a blend reflecting the predominantly Pinot Noir vineyards of Côte des Bar.
Technical data

Tasting profile
Created as a fresher, smoother expression of Grand Tour. The complex nose emphasizes fresh yellow plum, with understated toasted-almond and citrus-peel notes. Lively acidity brings linearity and energy to the palate. The overall profile is clean, vertical and pure, with the low dosage emphasizing the identity of the vineyards and their terroir.
Serving and pairing
Suited to aperitifs and to raw fish and seafood.
Label / history
Grand Tour was conceived by Antonio Moretti Cuseri after a search for a partner in Champagne. Rather than producing an Italian sparkling wine inspired by Champagne, he chose to work in the Aube with a small local maison. The cuvée takes its name from the “Grand Tour.”
