Vineyard and terroir
The 2021 grapes came from Central Tuscany, from south-east-facing vineyards at 250 m above sea level. The Sangiovese vines were 20–30 years old, trained to spurred cordon, with a yield of 90 quintals per hectare. Estate harvesting and selection are manual: grapes are selected in the vineyard and again berry by berry on a conveyor belt.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Vinification
Fermentation took place at controlled temperature for 10 days. The use of stainless steel preserves the wine’s fresh fruit and floral character.
Ageing
Seven months in stainless-steel tanks, followed by 2–3 months in bottle before release.
