Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from selected vineyards in Appiano (San Michele-Appiano), at 420–500 m above sea level. The vineyards face southeast and southwest, and the soils are gravelly with a high limestone content. The vines are between 10 and 30 years old.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in mid to late September and carefully hand-selected. Most of them (70%) are vinified in stainless steel tanks. The remaining 30% are vinified in oak barrels, where they also undergo malolactic fermentation. The two wines are blended in February.
Tasting profile
Fresh and full-bodied, with a silky elegance and a harmonious balance of acidity and softness.
Label / history
