Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are selected Pinot Grigio from the communes of San Michele and Caldaro, grown at 400–500 m above sea level. The vines are 5 to 35 years old. The grape, originally from Burgundy, has found a second home in South Tyrol and adapts very well to the region's soils and climate.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and part of the must also goes through malolactic fermentation. This preserves the grapes' natural aromas and gives the wine a softer, rounder and more complex taste.
Tasting profile
Elegant, straightforward yet refined, fresh and well balanced, with a softer, rounder and more complex palate.
Label / history
The wine belongs to San Michele-Appiano's range of classic wines that are highly typical of South Tyrol.
