Vineyard and terroir
The Nebbiolo grows on warm, sunlit hills at 170 m above sea level, in semi-carbonate soils rich in greyish-white quartz sand.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in late October and collected in 20 kg crates. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place at controlled temperatures using methods the source describes as innovative.
Ageing
The wine matures for one year in stainless-steel tanks, followed by two years in Slavonian oak barrels and at least eight months in bottle.
Serving and pairing
Open and decant the wine at least three to four hours before serving.
