Storia
Stefano Farina began working with wine at a young age, selling it in the tavern he ran with his wife, Giovanna. Wine and winemaking became his true passion. In the mid-1930s he became seriously involved in the wine trade. He later expanded his interests into the steel industry, but he still founded Vinicola Stefano Farina in 1941.
Stefano had three sons: Bruno, Giancarlo and Luigi. They promised their father that they would never give up what he loved most, growing grapes and making wine. Giancarlo went to Alba to study winemaking at one of Italy's best-known institutes before carrying on his father's work.
Today Stefano's grandchildren run the family business. It owns several wineries, wine cellars and vineyards in areas of Piedmont, Tuscany and Puglia.
