Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from the vineyards of Masseria Surani in Salento. The vines are Guyot-trained on limestone-based soils rich in iron. The estate’s vineyards surround an early-20th-century masseria and 55 hectares are cultivated according to organic-viticulture principles, with an emphasis on preserving natural resources and biodiversity.

100% Fiano.

Vinification

The free-run juice ferments for 15 days in stainless-steel vats at a low temperature that does not exceed 12°C.

Ageing

Around four months of bottle ageing.

Technical data

Alcohol: 12.5% vol. Bottle size: 0.75 L. The vineyards are certified organic. No products of animal origin or products containing allergens are used during wine production. Cellar practices emphasize efficient resource use, waste avoidance and recycling. Packaging consists of FSC-certified organic corks, labels made from FSC-certified paper and recycled-paper cartons.

Tasting profile

Bright straw yellow. The fragrant bouquet opens with delicate white flowers and acacia, followed by citrus and tropical-fruit notes. The palate is pleasantly savory and medium-bodied, ending with a fresh finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 10–12°C. Pair with rich fish dishes, including grilled fish, as well as seafood, white meat, poultry, salads and fresh cheeses.

Label / history

Soranì takes its name from the place where Masseria Surani stands. The location is personified on the labels as Soranì, a mysterious, elegant and passionate woman reflecting the character of the land.
