Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie on stony, alluvial clay-limestone soils. These retain moisture while draining well, which helps the grapes ripen evenly and keep their acidity. The climate of Valpolicella is moderately warm, shaped by Lake Garda and Alpine air currents, and balances ripeness with freshness.
Grapes
The blend is built mainly on Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara, with small amounts of other regional varieties. Corvina and Corvinone contribute juicy fruit and acidity, Rondinella softens the texture, and Molinara adds lightness and freshness.
Vinification
Vinification takes place entirely in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation and maceration last around 8 days at a controlled temperature and are followed by malolactic fermentation. The approach preserves the pure primary aromas and highlights the acidity.
Ageing
Ageing is short and includes around 2 months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Slightly translucent in appearance, with expressive aromas of cherry and redcurrant and a pronounced acidity. Fresh, elegant and light, it was made as a "vino da tutto pasto", a versatile table wine for drinking with food rather than for serious contemplation. Michael Apstein of Wine Review Online, who scored it 91 points in 2025, called it a light, aromatic red with bright cherry notes that could be a successful alternative to rosé. Bibenda rated this vintage 3 grape clusters out of 5 in 2026.
Serving and pairing
Suited to lunches and dinners in summer and the warmer parts of spring and autumn. It can be served slightly chilled, which is unusual for a red.
