Vineyard and terroir
Tenuta Ammiraglia is marked by massive exposed yellow rocks locally called massi vivi, meaning “living rocks.” The wine's mineral and marine character reflects this coastal setting.
Grapes
Vermentino.
Vinification
The harvested grapes are taken swiftly to the cellar and subjected to soft, delicate pressing. The resulting must is clarified through cold static settling. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine matures in stainless steel on its fine lees.
Technical data
Alcohol: 12.5%.
Tasting profile
Massovivo 2025 is bright straw yellow. Its delicate nose combines floral notes, citrus and ripe white-fleshed fruit with sea spray and Mediterranean herbs, particularly thyme and sage. The palate is savoury and fresh, with excellent balance between flavour and aroma. The wine's broader profile also includes candied-fruit notes and a characteristic mineral quality.
Vintage notes
The 2025 season was balanced and varied. Mild, rainy winter weather was followed by February rainfall that continued through spring, replenishing groundwater and encouraging regular, uniform budding. June and July were very hot, with a prolonged period of above-average temperatures moderated by September rain.
Label / history
The name Massovivo derives from the yellow rocks that emerge throughout the estate and are known locally as massi vivi, or living rocks.
