Matured for 12 months in stainless-steel vessels.

Technical data

Morellino di Scansano DOCG. The 2024 vintage has 13% alcohol and is available in 0.75 L and 0.35 L formats.

Tasting profile

Santa Maria 2024 has a bright, vivid ruby-red colour. Its aromatic profile combines fruit and flowers: wild strawberry, raspberry and cherry are joined by dog rose, aromatic herbs recalling laurel, and sweet spices toward the finish. The palate is lively and fresh, with a well-defined tannic texture, warmth and softness. It is harmonious and persistent, with close correspondence between its aromas and flavours.

The wine's broader style is fresh, soft and fruit-driven.

Serving and pairing

Suitable for stewed meats such as rabbit or chicken, as well as medium-aged cheeses. Its style permits a broad range of pairings.

Vintage notes

The 2024 growing season began with an especially mild winter and widespread rainfall continuing into early spring. This established sufficient water reserves for the hot, dry summer. High temperatures supported flowering in June. Rain returned from mid-August, while regular night-time temperature variation helped the fruit ripen while retaining freshness at harvest. The vintage delivered good results in both quality and quantity.

Label / history

Santa Maria was first produced in 2000. Conceived as a youthful, dynamic expression of Morellino di Scansano, it is characterised by freshness, softness and fruit.
