Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from Tenuta Sant'Helena at Vencò in Dolegna del Collio, close to the Slovenian border. The estate's mild microclimate is protected by the Julian Alps to the north and open toward the Adriatic to the south. The vineyard soils are Eocene marl and sandstone. Rocciaponca takes its identity from the Collio's rocky ponca, a formation in which marl alternates with sandstone.
