Vineyard and terroir
The Tenuta Sorsei vineyard lies at Cavaion in the historic Bardolino Classico area, among the glacial moraine hills near the southeastern shore of Lake Garda. Its light, gravelly soils, 140-metre elevation and east/west exposure are moderated by the lake’s relatively mild, less humid microclimate. The vines are trained on a vertical trellis, and the vineyard has held BIOS organic certification since 1999.
Vinification
A natural, organically farmed and environmentally conscious red refermented in bottle. It is unfiltered, retains a light sediment and is made without added preservatives.
Tasting profile
Bright red. Fragrant red-fruit and rose aromas introduce a fresh, savoury palate. A gentle sparkle adds lift.
Serving and pairing
Serve chilled at 8–10 °C. Pair with light dishes, white meat or fish, or pour as an alternative aperitif.
Label / history
In local dialect, Vao means “I go.” The name belongs to a group of wines whose dialect expressions evoke Tenuta Sorsei’s roots and summer outings overlooking Lake Garda.
