Vineyard and terroir

Le Fornaci Rosé joins fruit from opposite shores of Lake Garda: Turbiana from Tenuta Le Fornaci near Sirmione and Rondinella from an estate vineyard in Peschiera del Garda. The vineyard section describes high-density, Guyot-trained estate parcels, including stratified calcareous-clay ground and sandier soils rich in silt. Clay-grown fruit supplies body and structure, while sandy soil contributes aroma and elegance.

Grapes

90% Turbiana and 10% Rondinella.

Vinification

The varieties are selected, harvested simultaneously and brought to the winery. Each remains separately in the press for one hour of skin contact, the sensitive stage that extracts the wine’s pale color. Each variety is then pressed gently for two hours to obtain its free-run must. The musts are blended, chilled and racked before inoculation with selected yeasts. Alcoholic fermentation lasts 10 days at a controlled 15–18°C.

Ageing

Four months in stainless steel.

Technical data

Alcohol: 12.5% vol. Bottle size: 750 ml.

Tasting profile

Pale pink with highlights reminiscent of rose petals. The fine, fragrant bouquet offers pink grapefruit, peach blossom, mineral nuances and mandarin zest. The palate is fresh, fruity, elegant and subtle, with vibrant acidity recalling citrus peel and a persistent, harmonious finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve cool at 10–12°C. Ideal as an aperitif or with delicately flavored hors d’oeuvres, fish main courses, Asian cuisine and pizza. Its versatility suits service throughout the year.
