Vineyard and terroir
The Le Prunee vineyard is at Sant’Ambrogio in the hills of Valpolicella Classica. It faces south-east, with Guyot-trained vines rooted in soil rich in stones and clay.
Grapes
100% Merlot.
Vinification
The Italian description specifies partial drying of 30% of the selected grapes for about 45 days, followed by a 12-day fermentation at a controlled 25–30 °C. The English description instead gives maceration in stainless-steel vats as “15,” without a unit.
Ageing
Maturation lasts 12 months in 65 hl Slavonian oak casks.
Technical data
Alcohol: 12.5% vol. Bottle size: 750 ml.

Deep ruby red with purplish highlights. Raspberry and plum aromas are joined by delicate vegetal and spicy nuances. The palate is broad and rounded, with velvety tannins, balanced fruit and a long finish recalling red-fruit jam.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 14–16 °C. Pair with white meats, lightly cooked red meats such as Italian-style roast beef, moderately aged cheeses, or rich and flavorful fish such as stewed cod.
