Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is associated with Podere Liano, whose vineyards face south and southeast. The soils are medium-textured, clay-rich and calcareous. The vines average 15 years of age, and yield is 75 q/ha (7.5 t/ha).
Grapes
The 2023 blend is 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in specialized fermenters that maintain prolonged, continuous contact between the wine and skins, allowing a long maceration.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in 5.5 hl Allier oak casks, followed by six months in bottle.
Technical data
Alcohol is 14% vol. Available formats are 0.375 L, 0.75 L, 1.5 L, 3 L, 9 L and 18 L.
Tasting profile
Red with garnet highlights. The broad bouquet combines ripe red fruit and sour-cherry preserve with delicate vanilla and spice nuances. The palate is soft and elegant, with sustained intensity, pleasant tannins and a harmonious, balanced structure.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16°C with cured-meat starters, sliced beef, grilled fillet or a progression of cheeses. Ageing potential is 15 years.
