Vineyard and terroir

The wine is associated with Podere Miravalle, with a north-eastern exposure. The technical sheet specifies medium-textured clay soil, vines averaging 15 years of age and a yield of 8 tonnes per hectare. The estate profile further characterises the soil as clayey and calcareous.

Grapes

100% organically grown Sangiovese. Malise Sangiovese was the estate's first organic wine.

Vinification

Vinification takes place under temperature control in spherical concrete tanks and cocciopesto amphorae, with approximately 15 days of maceration.

Ageing

The wine matures for 18 months in spherical concrete tanks and cocciopesto amphorae, followed by six months in bottle.

Technical data

Sangiovese Rubicone IGT. Alcohol: 13% vol. Available format: 0.750 l. The colour is ruby red with violet reflections.

Tasting profile

The nose is broad and intense, combining fruit notes with attractive nuances of red-fruit preserve. The palate is dry and harmonious, with good structure and elegant tannins emerging on the finish and extending its persistence.

Serving and pairing

Serve at room temperature. Pair with grilled meats, roasts and particularly flavoursome first courses.
