Vineyard and terroir

Moma Rosso is associated with southwest-facing Podere Laurento. The technical sheet describes medium-textured clay soil. The vines average 15 years of age, and yield is 80 q/ha (8 t/ha).

Grapes

The 2024 wine blends Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot; percentages are not specified.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in vertical stainless-steel fermenters for 12–14 days.

Ageing

The wine matures for six months in 30 hl Slavonian oak casks and then for three months in bottle.

Tasting profile

Light red with violet reflections. The persistent, intense bouquet is marked by red fruit. The palate is pleasantly velvety and soft, with balance, finesse and elegance.

Serve at 14°C. A versatile table wine, it suits traditional Emilian pasta dishes such as tagliatelle al ragù, cured meats, and red or white meats. Its evolution can be enjoyed over the two to five years following harvest.
