Storia
The 1970s: a farm in Salaparuta
Giacomo Vaccaro and his wife, Caterina, bought a small farm in the municipality of Salaparuta, in southwestern Sicily. The area had been badly affected by the 1968 earthquake. The couple chose to build their future there, motivated by their love for the land.
1990: the company
The project became a company called Vaccaro, a modern winery equipped with the latest winemaking technology and driven by its founders' passion for wine.
The family today
Giacomo and Caterina's children, Carmelo and Katia, work at the winery. Their grandchildren, Luigi and Caterina, are preparing to join the family business.

Filosofia
The family presents its logo as a statement of its mission, philosophy and values. A shield represents Giacomo, protecting the winery and holding every family member in its embrace. A diamond stands for transparency in business, purity of intention, unwavering principles and the bond between the land and the people who work it; it also refers to Caterina. The curved lines represent the fertile hills of Salaparuta and suggest a hawk flying over the vineyards in a tireless search for perfection. The founders describe their business as rooted in an endless love for a beautiful but scarred land.
