Vineyard and terroir
The low-trained vineyards occupy the volcanic slopes of Mount Vulture near Acerenza, Potenza, at elevations reaching 800 metres. Altitude extends and slows the growing season, making Vulture one of Italy’s latest-harvested areas. Late-ripening Greco and Fiano are well suited to these poor volcanic soils.
Grapes
60% Greco and 40% Fiano.
Vinification
The fruit is chilled upon arrival at the winery and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place at 10°C in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The must is handled in an oxygen-free environment to retain the wine’s fresh aromatic character.
Ageing
The wine remains in stainless steel on its lees.
Tasting profile
Yellow with green reflections. White-fleshed fruit shapes the aroma, while lively acidity reinforces freshness on the palate.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10–12°C. Its tropical-fruit character suits a peach and burrata salad, while its freshness also makes it suitable as an aperitif.
