Vintage notes

A rainy autumn preceded a mild start to 2024 and slightly early budbreak. Mild spring weather encouraged rapid growth until cooler conditions at the end of April slowed vegetative development. Frequent rain in May and June created water reserves. Temperatures rose sharply from the second week of July, beginning a hot, dry period that accelerated bunch development and initiated veraison. Ripening then proceeded slowly and gradually through August, producing healthy, balanced fruit at harvest.
