Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Veneto in northeastern Italy, on silty clay soils. The Dolomites shelter the vineyards from cold northerly winds, while winds from the Adriatic Sea to the south bring sufficient rainfall, particularly in summer. Marked differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures promote aromatic development in the grapes.
Grapes
The wine is made from selected Glera and Pinot Nero grapes. Pinot Nero adds depth and complexity to Glera’s freshness and contributes to the wine’s balance.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes are pressed and undergo a brief cryomaceration on the skins at 5 °C, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. Secondary fermentation uses the Charmat method.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees for four months after secondary fermentation.
Tasting profile
Light and airy, with intense fruit and berry aromas, bright acidity and excellent balance. The finish is refreshing and appetizing.
Serving and pairing
Suitable as an aperitif and with richer dishes.
