Vineyard and terroir
The wine is produced by Villa Marcello in Fontanelle, in the province of Treviso. The vines grow in silty-clay soil, with 3,000–5,000 plants per hectare, and are trained using the Sylvoz system. Harvest takes place during the first ten days of September.
Grapes
85% Glera and 15% Pinot Bianco.
Vinification
Fermentation proceeds at controlled temperature with selected yeasts. The second fermentation follows the Metodo Italiano.
Ageing
The wine remains on selected yeasts for more than 60 days at controlled temperature.
Technical data
Treviso DOC. Alcohol: 11% vol. Available formats: 750 ml and 1.5 L. Contains sulphites.
Tasting profile
Bright straw yellow. The aroma combines varietal notes of apple and pear with floral nuances. The palate is full-bodied and fresh, with fine perlage and a notably delicate character.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 6–8 °C. Particularly suited to service as an aperitif.

Known as “The Smooth,” Villa Marcello Extra Dry reflects a balance between modern and traditional production techniques. Prosecco Villa Marcello has long served as a flagship wine of the Counts Marcello’s production.
