Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The selected fruit comes from vineyards in Veneto, northeastern Italy. The Dolomites shelter the vineyards from cold northerly winds, while winds from the Adriatic Sea bring sufficient rainfall from the south, particularly in summer. Marked differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures promote aromatic development. The vines occupy 60 hectares on loamy and clay soils.
Grapes
The wine is made mainly from selected Glera grapes.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and undergo cryomaceration at 5 °C. Primary fermentation takes place at 14 °C. Secondary fermentation is carried out by the Charmat-Martinotti method in temperature-controlled stainless-steel autoclaves.
Ageing
After primary fermentation, the wine rests in stainless-steel tanks for four months. It is subsequently aged for more than 60 days.
Tasting profile
The palate and aromas are well balanced.
