Storia
Patrizia Felluga is a fifth-generation winemaker. She had long wanted to make wines that express the character of the terroir as a whole, rather than concentrating mainly on individual grape varieties. She began putting this idea into practice in 2001, when she opened the Zuani winery with her son Antonio and her daughter Caterina.
Terroir
The Zuani vineyard lies in the hills of San Floriano del Collio. The soils are unspoiled and rich in minerals. Collio has a warm, mild climate, which favours well-structured wines with good aging potential.
Vinificazione
The winery makes just two complementary wines: Vigne Bianco Collio and Bianco Riserva Collio. Both are blends that combine the structure and aromas of the native Friulano grape with several international varieties.
Filosofia
Patrizia Felluga wanted to make wines that reflect the character of the terroir as a whole rather than focusing mainly on individual grape varieties. The owners describe wine as a living product and hold that every stage requires care, from the vineyard to transportation and storage.
