About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Primitivo grows in Salento, where the hot, dry climate yields concentrated, flavourful berries. Clay soils add body and structure to the wine. The Lifili range comes from old family vineyards.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. Maceration and fermentation take place at a controlled temperature for around 10 days, which extracts colour and aroma while keeping the tannins soft.
Ageing
The wine ages in steel tanks, which preserves a clean fruit profile and highlights the natural juiciness of Primitivo.
Tasting profile
Juicy and smooth, with a warm, expressive southern character. The nose shows ripe berries with hints of spice. The palate moves gently from cherry and plum to deeper, lightly spiced flavours. Easy to enjoy and pleasantly drinkable, full-flavoured yet uncomplicated.
Serving and pairing
Suited to meat at dinner.
Label / history
The Lifili range is presented as a balance between terroir and the winemaker's skill, aiming to capture the character of each grape variety: rich and powerful, yet fresh and refined.
