About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are in Salento, at about 100 m above sea level, with a planting density of 4,500 vines/ha. The mainly clay soils are relatively shallow. Average annual temperatures are fairly high and rainfall is rare, producing small, highly concentrated grapes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested mechanically in mid-September. Temperature-controlled maceration is followed by decanting, alcoholic fermentation and gentle pressing.
Ageing
The wine matures in stainless-steel tanks for several months.
