Deep purple-red to claret, with black cherry, plum, blackberry, redcurrant, violet, vanilla, menthol and cloves. The PDF adds small berries, slight herbal notes and cinnamon. The palate is clean, generous, full and balanced, with elegant tannins and long aromatic persistence. Traditional fermentation. Alcohol 13.50-14.50%. Ageing capability 10 years. First production year 1985. Serving temperature 18-20°C. Pairings include red meat, game and aged cheese.
