About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The organically farmed vineyards lie in the hills of Oriolo dei Fichi, near Faenza, at approximately 130 metres above sea level. The soils are clay and limestone.
Grapes
The blend comprises 95% Albana and 5% other indigenous white varieties.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the first half of September, then destemmed and gently pressed. After a short maceration, fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation lasts approximately two months in concrete vessels.
Ageing
The wine matures on its fine lees in concrete tanks for four months before bottling, followed by at least two months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
Label / history
Production in 2018 was 6,000 bottles.
