60% Sangiovese and 40% Grenache. The vines are trained using the Guyot system, and the grapes are harvested at the end of September.
Ageing
The wine matures for 3 months in stainless steel, followed by at least 3 months in bottle.
Technical data
Colli del Trasimeno Rosato DOC. The first vintage was 2023. Available in a 0.75 L bottle, with an estimated ageing potential of approximately 2 years.
Tasting profile
Pale pink, with reflections recalling the delicacy of rose petals. The fruity and floral bouquet is led by small red berries, pomegranate and white-fleshed peach, accompanied by rose, wildflowers and delicate powdery nuances. The palate is fresh and balanced, with lively acidity and subtle minerality providing structure and persistence. It is enveloping, with a pleasantly savoury finish.
Label / history
Puntabella grew from a project dedicated to highlighting the character of the Trasimeno area. The wine combines fruit from vineyards around the lake with the estate’s ongoing oenological research, seeking freshness, balance and elegance.
