History
Arnaldo Caprai has produced wine in Montefalco since 1971.
The estate developed research and experimentation in agronomy and winemaking to increase knowledge of Sagrantino and the Montefalco territory. The first 25 Anni was produced in 1993.
The company later adopted quality and environmental management systems and participated in the New Green Revolution sustainability protocol.

The estate is located at Montefalco, where Sagrantino has been linked with the territory for centuries.
Winemaking

Vinification IntégraleSelected premium grapes ferment directly in rotating barriques.
The estate combines agronomic research, grape selection and sustainability programmes. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems were adopted in the early 2000s.
Grapes are selected by wine. Fermentation is temperature-controlled. Premium wines may use Vinification Intégrale in barriques. Sagrantino wines age for at least 22 months in French oak; Cuvée Secrète ages six months.
