History

2011 — The Astrale project

Astrale began presenting a new concept of wine in 2011. The project grew from sustained attention to detail and an emphasis on authenticity, craftsmanship and the potential contained in every grape.

Creative direction

Peppe Randazzo created and directs Astrale. Born in Sicily, he travelled through the international wine world, including California and New Zealand, before arriving in the heart of Tuscany. Those experiences informed Astrale’s deliberately borderless outlook and its combination of ancient cultural references with a contemporary pursuit of quality.

The project’s identity is built around the relationship between earth and sky. Its celestial imagery recalls the constellations that inspired stories of gods and heroes and served as points of reference for farmers and sailors. Astrale presents itself as the inheritor of this long cultural memory rather than as a conventional estate tied to a single named vineyard.

Philosophy

Astrale is conceived as a wine project without borders. Its guiding principles are authenticity, respect for the land, craftsmanship, close attention to detail and recognition of the potential within each grape.

The project connects ancient tradition with a contemporary pursuit of quality. Its celestial theme frames wine as a bridge between earth and sky, while the breadth of Peppe Randazzo’s experience—from Sicily through California and New Zealand to Tuscany—underpins an outlook intended to transcend geographic boundaries.

Astrale positions itself as an heir to millennia of cultural history associated with the stars and as an interpreter of quality unrestricted by borders. The sky embracing Italy serves as its central metaphor.
