Vineyard and terroir
The production area is Mogoro in the province of Oristano.
Grapes
100% Monica.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place at a controlled 26–28 °C, with the wine remaining in contact with the skins for approximately 10 days.
Ageing
After vinification, the wine matures in French oak barrels for approximately six months.
Tasting profile
Bright ruby red with abundant violet nuances. The bouquet is intense and enveloping, led by morello cherry, plum and woodland berries. The palate is soft and balanced, with red-fruit flavours, measured spice and sweet tannins leading to a persistent, pleasant finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16–18 °C. Pair with fish sauces or soups, stewed lamb, red and braised meats, and mature cheeses—especially pecorino.
