About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Baroni vineyards, where green harvesting and careful grape selection are practised.
Vinification
For the 2011 vintage, the grapes were hand-harvested in two stages between 10 and 30 September. After destemming, they underwent cold skin maceration for 3–4 days in stainless-steel tanks, followed by fermentation for 15–20 days.
Ageing
The wine rested for 14 months in tanks and small oak barrels.
Tasting profile
Elegant and fresh.
Label / history
In Arabic, “Ra'is” means “chief”, a term used for the head fisherman who oversaw the tuna catch. The 2011 vintage was bottled in July 2014.
