About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow at 650 m above sea level in clay soils rich in limestone and minerals.
Vinification
Harvest is carried out by hand from August to September in two passes. The first pass selects underripe grapes to preserve higher acidity; the second gathers slightly overripe fruit. Cryomaceration on the skins is used to bring out the variety’s full potential. After a long fermentation of both batches, they are blended.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees for six months in stainless-steel tanks.
Tasting profile
Elegant and aromatic.
Label / history
Timeo joined Baglio di Pianetto’s core range of classic wines in 2015. Its name refers to Plato’s dialogue Timaeus, a work shaped particularly by philosophy and science that examines cosmology and the origin of the universe, physics and its material structure, and eschatology and human nature.
