Label / history
The name Recioto comes from Recia, a term in the dialect of Verona’s winemakers meaning “ear”. In viticulture, it denotes the part of a grape cluster that receives the most sunlight.
The Begali family’s winemaking history dates to the beginning of the 20th century. The estate produced its first wine at the end of the Second World War and began selling its wines in the 1980s. It is now managed by Lorenzo Begali’s children, Giordano and Tiliana.
