About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are selected from hillside sites in the Alta Esina Valley, at 350–650 m above sea level. The vines were planted between 1996 and 2002.
Grapes
A blend of 50% Verdicchio and 50% Trebbiano.
Vinification
The harvest date is set by measuring sugar levels, total acidity and pH. After gentle pressing, the must is settled at a low temperature. Fermentation lasts 15 days at a controlled 13–14 °C in 300 hl steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 3 months in stainless steel tanks. It is bottled in February of the following year and rests for some time in the winery's cellars before release.
Tasting profile
Pleasantly easy to drink and thirst-quenching, lighter in alcohol and less demanding than Verdicchio.
Label / history
Conceived as a "little Verdicchio", for drinkers who find Verdicchio too high in alcohol and too demanding.
