About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Verdicchio is grown in Matelica at 360 m above sea level. The first vines were planted in 1982.
Vinification
The harvest date is set by measuring sugar levels, total acidity and pH. After gentle pressing, the must is settled at low temperature. Fermentation lasts 30 days in 300 hl stainless steel tanks, at a controlled 18 °C.
Ageing
The wine matures for 24 months in enamel-lined concrete tanks, with the lees stirred weekly. After bottling it rests in bottle for at least a further 4 months.
Tasting profile
Remarkably mineral.
