About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Valdobbiadene’s vineyards lie on clay and marine deposits formed in nearly vertical layers on what was once a seabed. The clay retains moisture during hot weather; the fruit retains vibrant acidity and develops delicate floral notes.

Grapes

The blend is 85% Glera and 15% Chardonnay. Glera contributes softness, freshness, fruit and floral character, while Chardonnay provides structure and a fine-textured feel.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand in small batches at the end of September, chilled and gently pressed. The first fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, followed by lees contact for greater roundness and a lightly creamy texture. A second fermentation by the Martinotti, or Charmat, method lasts at least 30 days, producing fine, soft bubbles and a fresh, clean character.

Ageing

The wine is at its best 12–14 months after bottling. With further storage, it gradually loses brightness and fruity intensity and becomes softer and rounder. The producer recommends keeping bottles upright during the first year and horizontal thereafter, in a cool place away from light.

Tasting profile

Elegant and fresh, with floral aromas, juicy fruit and a clean mineral note. Vibrant acidity balances its soft, finely textured and lightly creamy palate, with fine, gentle bubbles.

Vintage notes

In 2024, a cold, wet spring delayed vine growth, while the ensuing hot summer tested the vines. The conditions prolonged ripening, allowing complex aromas to develop while preserving acidity and producing an unusual balance between juicy fruit and a clean mineral note.

Label / history

The name “Crede” comes from the local dialect word for clay. Bisol is a family-owned winery whose history dates to 1542 and which has worked on the slopes of Valdobbiadene for five centuries. The 2024 vintage received a silver medal at the 2025 International Wine & Spirit Competition, as well as a gold medal and a separate distinction among Italian sparkling wines at the 2025 International Wine Challenge.
