About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown in Tuscany on clay-limestone and gravel soils.

Grapes

A small proportion of Merlot is blended with Sangiovese to soften the wine and give it a velvety, rounded texture.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested fairly late, carefully transported to the winery and pressed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature.

Ageing

The wine ages in oak barrels.

Tasting profile

Ruby red in colour, with good acidity and high tannins. The palate is velvety and rounded.
