About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow on Valdobbiadene’s steep hillsides, where mechanical harvesting is not possible. The soils are clay-limestone.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and gently pressed before secondary fermentation. The Bortolin family oversees each stage of production.

Tasting profile

White flowers, green apple, pear and lemon zest define the aromas. The palate is clean, fresh, delicate and elegantly dry, with a rounded, soft character.

Serving and pairing

A wide sparkling-wine glass helps the aromas open and accentuates the wine’s rounded, soft palate.

Label / history

The distinctive bottle was modelled on an elegant, winding vine branch noticed one morning by Angelo Bortolin and his son Desiderio. Its curved form is designed to make pouring easier. The redesigned bottle was presented publicly at Vinitaly in 2015, where it received the “Golden Label,” the top award in the Sparkling Wines category. The label’s colour refers to Valdobbiadene’s clay-limestone soils.
